Clubs
Art Club 3rd-8th Grade
Art Club provides students with an opportunity to explore their creativity through a variety of artistic techniques. Students will have opportunities to create individual and collaborative projects while developing artistic skills and self-expression.
Gardening Club 3rd-8th Grade
Gardening Club gives students hands-on opportunities to learn about gardening, plants, sustainability, and the environment. Students participate in planting, caring for, maintaining the school garden and the importance of caring for our environment.
Students will develop responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and an appreciation for nature through hands-on gardening experiences.
Club Folklorico 4th-8th Grade
Club Folklórico provides students with the opportunity to learn and perform traditional Mexican folkloric dances while developing an appreciation for Mexican culture and heritage. Students learn traditional dances, music, movements, and cultural traditions while building confidence, discipline, teamwork, and performance skills.
Students may have opportunities to perform at school events, community celebrations, and other special occasions throughout the school year.
Modern Band 4th-8th Grade
Modern Band provides students with the opportunity to develop their musical skills by learning and performing contemporary music using instruments such as guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and vocals.
Participation in Modern Band is by audition. Students are selected by the music teacher based on their musical skills, interest, readiness, and the needs of the ensemble. Students selected for Modern Band are expected to demonstrate commitment, practice regularly, attend rehearsals, and work cooperatively as members of the band.
Students may have opportunities to perform at school events and other special programs throughout the school year.
